As we all get ready to embark on a well-deserved Christmas break, I’d like to thank you all for your continued support throughout a very busy and exciting 2017 at Safehinge Primera.
It’s been a year since our team at Primera joined Safehinge, bringing with it a range of exciting new opportunities for our company – for me, there are three main highlights that stand out.
1. Growing our team, providing more specialised help and support
Coming together has given us the opportunity to create more specialised roles, helping bring our team closer to you. Welcoming new members, Jon Zoltie and Lee Ackland, to our customer support teams, means we can offer more specialised doorset knowledge local to you and help you to make decisions with confidence.
Likewise, as our lockset team has grown, this has given Martin Lees the chance to take on a specialised role as Access Control Manager, providing you with expert specification and installation advice on our electronic lockset, Passport – a product you’ve told us helps improve security and dignity while providing audit trails. Issuing service users their own keys has come up repeatedly in CQC reports across the country.
2. Answering your needs, providing a single doorset source
Two-thirds of Mental Health care providers told us they’d like to purchase complete doorsets from a single source. By combining our products, people, and expertise, we’re ideally placed to supply our complete range of Symphony doorsets for Mental Health – combining
award-winning Safehinge products with tried and tested anti-ligature locksets and handles from Primera.
A particular highlight for me was watching Gus, Martin, Phil and Shaun receive the Product Innovation of the Year award at DIMHN 2017 for the en-suite door – a Safehinge doorset which uses Primera’s staff-only Lifeline key to enhance service user safety. A flavour of how our integration delivers results for your staff and service users.
3. Developing new products together with you – creating better environments for recovery
Finally, by bringing together our most valuable asset – our staff – we’ve also been able to accelerate our development of new products. Combining our knowledge and developing products in tandem we can now provide you with complete assurance in the cross-functionality of our products.
For example, one of our product design engineers, Max Szczerkowski, is working closely with our lockset team to develop a new anti-ligature door handle – an opportunity that wouldn’t have been possible had we not joined together. So far more than 40 of you have provided feedback on the ideal handle design.
