To solve the durability issues with plastic finger guards, the contractor recommended rubber and roller blind finger guards. We worked closely with their education services and design team to understand their problems and helped them create a generic specification for their Employer’s Requirements.
Manchester City Council
With tight budgets and facilities at capacity, Manchester City Council focused on extending and upgrading schools, rather than new builds.
At the combined Ashgate SEN and Crossacres Primary School, door safety had to be cost-effective without compromising quality. We used our integral finger guard for all new doors, and for refurbished areas, our clever finger-ejecting guard was the perfect solution, providing visual consistency throughout.
